Required menu quantity = sum(group guests × entered portions per person) × (1 + reserve); packages = ceiling(required ÷ package yield).

Entered fixed decimals use exact rational arithmetic wherever the task involves money, ratios, or allocations. Whole packages, tables, seats, and items round only where the real task requires indivisible units.

Eighty standard guests at 1.2 portions plus 20 children at 0.7 portions require 110 portions before reserve.
