What the probability from outcomes calculator is calculating

Expressing uncertainty on a zero-to-one scale. Probability compares favorable possibilities with a clearly defined sample space or uses observed relative frequency. The model and outcome definitions matter as much as the arithmetic.

Probability rule

P(A)=favourable outcomes/total equally likely outcomes.

Every probability must remain between 0 and 1, and overlapping regions must be jointly feasible. The calculator rejects combinations that violate the stated model.

Outcome counting is valid only when every counted elementary outcome is equally likely and the favourable set is defined before counting.

Model boundary: Counts must be nonnegative whole numbers, favourable outcomes cannot exceed the total, and the total must be positive.

Numerical scope

Inputs use double-precision numerical methods with guarded domains. Datasets accept up to 10,000 finite plain-decimal values. Extremely large parameters or probabilities deep in a numerical tail may require specialist statistical software.
