Occupancy-weighted share = cost × person occupancy days ÷ total person-days; fixed equal-share costs are divided by active people separately.
Entered fixed decimals remain exact through rational arithmetic. Planar distance outputs that require square roots use bounded numerical evaluation. Values round only for display, and unsupported or undefined states return an explicit message.

For a 30-day month, split 2,400 occupancy-based costs among roommates present for 30, 30, and 15 days, plus 150 of equal fixed costs.
