Calculation method

Exact list addition

Every value is parsed as an integer coefficient and a decimal scale. The calculator aligns those scales before adding the coefficients.

The result preserves the greatest entered scale and also separates positive values, negative values, and zeros for a clearer audit.

Worked example

Add 12.50, −2, and 0.75

Aligning the values to hundredths gives 12.50 − 2.00 + 0.75.

12.50 + (−2) + 0.75 = 11.25
