Cost = shares × purchase price + buy fees. Proceeds = shares × sale price − sell fees. Profit = proceeds − cost.

Fixed decimal inputs and scalar arithmetic remain exact until display. Root and growth calculations are explicitly marked approximate.

Worked example

Buying 100 shares at 20 and selling at 24 with 10 fees on each side gives 380 profit.

Cost = shares × purchase price + buy fees. Proceeds = shares × sale price − sell fees. Profit = proceeds − cost.
