Quick guide
How to use this calculator
- Choose the explicit policy, scale, scoring basis, or planning method before entering results.
- Use the labelled fields and add one structured row per course, attempt, component, criterion, learner record, unit, or workload batch that belongs in the scenario.
- Read component outputs before the overall summary: they expose denominators, active weights, exclusions, shortages, thresholds, provenance, and the record or stage driving the result.
Calculation method
Transparent education workflow
For each student, each category percentage equals earned graded points divided by possible graded points; the current course grade is the normalized weighted mean of categories containing graded work.
The calculator preserves relevant distinctions and reports intermediate components rather than converting missing information into an assumed score, policy, equivalency, or approval.
Worked example
Worked example
With coursework weighted 40% and exams 60%, category results of 80% and 90% produce an 86% current grade.
For each student, each category percentage equals earned graded points divided by possible graded points; the current course grade is the normalized weighted mean of categories containing graded work.

Visitor-entered rules and assumptions
No grading scale, attendance threshold, late-work rule, mastery definition, institutional conversion, admissions requirement, curriculum rule, or room-safety standard is supplied automatically.
Privacy by default
Use short non-identifying labels. Entered academic information and results stay in this browser tab and are not placed in URLs, analytics, storage, session replay, or a cloud record.
Support, not automated judgement
Results organize arithmetic evidence. They do not rank learners, diagnose learning, predict admission, determine placement, recommend discipline, certify safety, or replace professional and institutional judgement.
Calculator-specific boundary
This calculator does not infer a school grading policy. Missing work is reported separately unless its status is explicitly entered as zero; excused and pending work do not enter the current denominator.
