Quick guide
How to use this calculator
- Choose the explicit policy, scale, scoring basis, or planning method before entering results.
- Use the labelled fields and add one structured row per course, attempt, component, criterion, learner record, unit, or workload batch that belongs in the scenario.
- Read component outputs before the overall summary: they expose denominators, active weights, exclusions, shortages, thresholds, provenance, and the record or stage driving the result.
Calculation method
Transparent education workflow
Active terms required = ceiling((program credits − completed credits) ÷ planned credits per term); elapsed terms add entered paused terms and are mapped across the entered terms per year.
The calculator preserves relevant distinctions and reports intermediate components rather than converting missing information into an assumed score, policy, equivalency, or approval.
Worked example
Worked example
With 60 of 120 credits completed at 15 credits per term, four active terms remain before adding any planned pauses.
Active terms required = ceiling((program credits − completed credits) ÷ planned credits per term); elapsed terms add entered paused terms and are mapped across the entered terms per year.
Supported inputs
Precision and limits
Visitor-entered rules and assumptions
No grading scale, attendance threshold, late-work rule, mastery definition, institutional conversion, admissions requirement, curriculum rule, or room-safety standard is supplied automatically.
Privacy by default
Use short non-identifying labels. Entered academic information and results stay in this browser tab and are not placed in URLs, analytics, storage, session replay, or a cloud record.
Support, not automated judgement
Results organize arithmetic evidence. They do not rank learners, diagnose learning, predict admission, determine placement, recommend discipline, certify safety, or replace professional and institutional judgement.
Calculator-specific boundary
The estimate assumes the entered course load is available and completed. Prerequisites, failed or repeated courses, transfer evaluation, placement, thesis review, institutional calendars, and graduation approval remain outside the arithmetic.
