Keep Bq/kg, Bq/L, and Bq/m² workflows distinct while supporting the same transparent total-equals-concentration-times-quantity relationship.
Total activity equals activity concentration multiplied by sample mass, volume, or area. All quantities are normalized to Bq and the canonical basis kg, L, or m² before solving.

This arithmetic assumes the entered concentration represents the entered sample basis. It does not infer spatial homogeneity, sampling uncertainty, detection limits, radionuclide identity, regulatory averaging, release criteria, dose, or risk.
Units and precision
Calculations normalize compatible units once, retain working precision, and round only for display. Very small and large nonzero values use scientific notation; displayed precision cannot exceed the entered measurements or source data.
